Not great in terms of fuel economy but you don’t get this engine if you want to skim on fuel. In the city, this engine can go 10mpg and 14mpg outside the city. Even though it is a beast of a truck while equipped with the Hellcat engine, it is surprisingly easy to handle and drives smoothly. And is surely the quickest pickup in its class. It can get from 0 to 60mph in just 3.7 seconds, something you don’t expect in a truck.
We get an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. This monster boasts around 702 horsepower and gives 650-pound feet of torque. It is a supercharged 6.2 liter Hemi V8 engine, also known as a Hellcat engine. So under that stylish hood is a monster of an engine. This might be the most interesting part about the 20 TRX.
All this equates to zero overheating issues while pushing your truck to its limits. This is added to the front grille which is high and wide and improves air circulation. On the RAM TRX, we get a specially designed hood that has air inlets to ensure better air circulation. They are very sleek and futuristic in design and are using the latest LED technology to ensure better visibility. The headlights look as if they came from a spaceship. The front and back bumpers look sturdier and more aggressive, they are also at an angle to allow for better ground clearance. It has some extra ground clearance so you don’t get stuck or stranded on some obstacles. This truck is supposed to go off-road and it will most definitely be equipped to do so. We see huge aluminum alloy wheels, wrapped with mad off-roading tires. However, it also adds to the style and gives the truck the sporty appearance it is looking for. This is done partly for aerodynamics which would increase stability and driveability. It is curvy and without too many sharp sides. But it looks like a sleek truck that is lightweight and is going to zoom past you. This is going to allow you to blast your favorite tunes while enjoying a comfortable ride.Īs already mentioned, the 20 TRX is a huge half pickup truck. However, we do get a top-of-the-line surround system made by Harman Kardon assembled from 19 speakers. There are some knobs and buttons so it is not all digital. Navigation is already built-in which is a nice addition, you also get satellite radio which is not seen very often.

We get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with Bluetooth and wifi hotspot. There is a 12-inch infotainment system available on the dashboard, vertically mounted. Heads up display is also available on the basic trim. Cooling and heating seats will allow that and make you forget you are steering a half-ton pickup. Especially in a working truck, you want to feel comfortable and be able to sit for a long time without any issues. Heated and ventilated seats are available with the TRX and we can’t emphasize how important this is. We also get a digital rearview mirror which is not often seen in pickup trucks. There are carbon fiber and micro suede accents all along with the interior which makes this truck look dashing and luxurious. This is a big step away from the classic sporty trucks which offer bad fabric and lousy stitching.
There is leather and high-quality suede available. As far as upholstery is concerned we are all set here. There are different trims of course namely TR1 and TR2 which determine the number of amenities available on the inside. RAM surpassed its competitors with a level of refinement and style it puts in its trucks lately. This is a half-ton pickup truck but it feels like a first-class flight when you take a seat. But we wouldn’t want it any other way, to be honest. The cabin is huge in the TRX, it is offered only as a crew cab, unfortunately. It will be able to seat at least five people comfortably.
